PLUS

Isn't that a familiar logo to us?

Maybe if you do not travel much or you don't give a damn then it is possible you have not seen it.

Well, you will see it everyday if you live in KL. To get to college I always use the highway, NPE. It is kinda fast to get to Sunway KL via NPE. But there is a "small" price you have to pay ($1.60 x 2)

Ouch ! I really used to complain every time the Toll Plaza appeared.
Professional Extortionists ! Day-light robbery !

Well, all that changed after the Kilometer 279.9 incident.

I was on my way to Melacca around 8.15 p.m. and maintaining a speed of 140km/h.

Suddenly, a loud noise. I looked at my bro and asked, "Did you hear that ?".

He said yeah and told me its nothing but I did not think so.

Then this weird noise like something being dragged was heard.

F*#k, I knew something was wrong and pulled over in the emergency lane.

I could not get out cuz lorries and cars were speeding like crazy in the lane beside.

My bro got down and inspected the car & confirmed my worst nightmare :-

I killed something.....

Chill la, it was just a flat tyre.

I could not change it cause it was on the driver's side and that was exposed to the speeding vehicles on the other lane.

When you got a flat tyre, who do you call ?

Ghostbusters ?!

No la, PLUS Peronda.

But the worst part is that I did not have their number.

So what to do?

The place where I stopped had this "Telefon Kecemasan" sign.

So I thought I could check it out.

As I walked to the phone, I could feel the heavy wind blowing in the highway and vehicles passing at top speed.

Man, was it LOUD !!!!!!!!

Then I reached this phone and I was shocked !

Dude, there was no phone but there was this white lever like stuff and you pull it downwards to talk.

So I did it and waited for a while. Then this dude started talking but it was so damn noisy the dude could not hear a thing.

Then I looked towards my car and saw blue sirens.

I thought it was PLUS Peronda and ran towards the car.

When I was approaching the vehicle with the siren switched lanes and came in front.

It was the cops !!

I walked towards the patrol car and in it were 2 cops.

They asked me for my IC and drivers license. Thank God I had them or I am a dead man.

I told them about the flat and they said o.k.

Before leaving, one of the cops said, "Berhati-hati, ya!Tempat ini tak selamat"

Then they just went.

I was like "WHAT?!" and went towards the phone again but this time constantly looking back. You never know ?

Then I saw this siren again. Don't tell me is the cops again.

Thankfully this time it was the PLUS Peronda.

The dude changed the tyre in matter of minutes and went on.

If it wasn't for those guys I don't know what will I do.

So, now I don't complain when paying toll.

I think our PLUS boys are doing the job just fine.

If you don't get what I mean, go to India.

When you see, feel and experience the roads there, you will really love our highways.

Sebelum saya mengundur diri, saya ingin mengucap ribuan terima kasih kepada pihak PLUS kerana menyelamatkan saya.

Sekain, terima kasih.

Greek Interest

Watched Clash of The Titans few weeks ago.

Now in History Channel they showing Clash of The Gods.

Now that is interesting cuz it tells you about Greek mythology and mythical creatures and Greek gods.

Before that, Clash of The Titans was kinda disappointing.

First, there are no titans.

Secondly, the Kraken in a Norse mythical creature NOT Greek.

Thirdly, Perseus did not kill Medussa with a sword from Zeus. It was from Hermes and Athena gave him a polished shield to look at Medusa's reflection.
Come on, how the heck are you goin to kill someone by closing your eyes !?

So then, all these Greek stuff reminded me of AOM (Age of Mythology) !
After finishing my Mock Exam, I immediately came back searched my CD stash.

The Gods smiled upon me.
I was able to find it AND the Titans Expansion Pack as well !!!!!!!!!
All hail Zeus.
So, now I am playing AOM.

Yes I know, sounds kinda lame.
But it's FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Out of the Time Warp

"sigh" (of relief)

Mock Exam ended last week.

It was kinda o.k. except for F5.

Never in my life I took a Mock Exam this seriously !

Back in Sunway JB, I adopted the "Trial & Error Policy"

What that simply means is screw the Mock Exam and do well for the real exam.

Not very applicable here in Sunway KL cuz everyone seems DAMN SERIOUS.

Failing Mock Exam is like END OF THE WORLD here !!!

Come on, WTF ?!

Who cares it is over & I got a 1 week "holiday".

Dizzy Old Gamer Syndrome

Caught up with Teoh Eu Vin today before F6 class from 2p.m. to 5 p.m.

Then we talked about the good old days and life nowadays.

While chatting I told him I have not played any computer games since December

especially COD 4 : Modern Warfare 2.

He then offered me to come to his hostel room and try it out.

An offer which I could hardly resist. Finally, I was going to experience Mod War. 2 !!!

Since I was kinda (VERY) rusty, I decided to do the training first.

Then was the part where there was the time-limit course where you have to shoot cardboard terrorist.

I reealised I was freakin slow. I clocked in 1 min Plus & killed 2 civilians. :()

So I continued to try to improve my timing but the best I could clock in was 52 sec.

I then started to feel kinda dizzy and stopped playing.

I could not take it. What has gone wrong?

I guess all those months without games have taken its toll.

I then tried Mass Effect 2 but was the same.

After a few minutes, I got dizzy.

Thereby, I decided to name this condition "Dizzy Old Gamer Syndrome".

I think the cure to this disease is to play a bit by bit to get use to it.

I will try this in June after my freakin ACCA exam.

Hope it works cuz the feeling of not being able to play computer games anymore is tragic.:,

After all, as I saw on a shirt of some dude:-

With God all things are Possible
Matthew 19:26

What do you say ?

Sterotyping

Stereotyping is the act to stereotype a class of people either positively or negatively.

In Malaysia stereotypes are kinda common I guess.

Come on, lets see :-

Indian people - bad drivers, talk loud while using handphone, gangsters, people who love to "drink"

Chinese people - kiasu, loan shark a.k.a Ah Long, etc.

Lets not get started with other races and start Ethnic War 2* in Malaysia.
*Ethnic War 1 was May 13.

From my point of view, to stereotype people is complete nonsense.

Everybody is different in their own way. You cannot judge a group of people based on 1 individual.

Stereotypes also occur in the ACCA course I am doing now. It is about the students with different backgrounds who join the ACCA course.

Lets start with the types of sterotypes.

1) CAT students

CAT students always receive high publicity. Why?
Some say they have an "advantage" over other students.
They are immature & think about enjoying all the time.
They no need to put in 100% effort to sail through ACCA.
They are assumed to know everything in ACCA and can score 100% in every exam. LOL!

2) A Level students.

The motto for A-level students in Sunway KL is : Above all the rest.
Man, are they so high above that I can't even see them.
They are said to be very matured & highly disciplined.
If you put in 100%, A-level students put in 200% in ACCA.
Very wise and can give you valuable advice.

3) Diploma students

These are a mysterious bunch.
You can hardly spot them cuz they blend in so well.
Very intelligent & they get exemption for F4 (Law Paper)
Luck b!@#$%^>s!!!!!!

4) TAR students

These guys did their diploma in TAR college.
Never seen one but their acts are legendary.
They get exemption from F1 to F5 !! :()
They are super intelligent.
They only mingle with their kind.
They are also super kiasu some say.
They will BOOK an entire row in an auditorium just for their club.
Sadly, they are limited in numbers and cannot book the entire auditorium.:,

Man , I am sick with this stereotypes.

Lets just forget about it and embrace the spirit of 1 Malaysia.

Sekian, terima kasih.
